Admission Criteria:  The following characteristics describe appropriate candidates for the Boys Hope Girls Hope program:

Age Range: Between 10-14 at the time of admission.
 

Need:  Experiencing barriers in the familial and/or societal environments that severely and persistently inhibit personal and academic success.  
 

Ability:  Capability of succeeding in a college-preparatory school setting.
 

Freedom from severe learning, emotional, and behavioral disorders and chemical dependency. Ability to live and relate as a positive member of a family-like, communal setting while demonstrating respect for adults and peers.

Articulate meaningful goals for the future.

Willingness to commit to active participation in all aspects of the Boys Hope Girls Hope program.

 

Support:  The legal guardian’s commitment to partner with the program in supporting the full development of the child.
